- Timber vledax - The most common vledax on the globe and the representative of the species. Commonly known as lupumanus vledaxii lignum, they can be found in nearly any biomes, from mountains to wetlands, to grasslands and forests.
- Ice vledax - Commonly known as lupumanus vledaxii glacies, they're characterized by thicker fur, pale coats, and stockier bodies. They can only be found in taigas, the poles, the highest mountains, and extremely cold regions.

The speciesVledaxes resemble a failed attempt at the vledyr, even though they evolved this way. Unlike the guided making of the dyre by the lutari kallanthus, the vledax possess the rutlem which is an imitator rather than an engineer. They can bend their shoulders at 90° and rotate their wrist like any primates can do. The species has dexterous hands with both hands and feet having paw pads. The feet are slightly bigger and more primate-like to support their weight while the legs don’t have the dew claws and spurs. The vledax hips and legs have a skewed structure that allows some individuals to walk like bipeds.
Both can see in tricolor and said vision is clear and sharp, but lower during the night despite the vledax's nocturnal nature. This gives them the ability to rely on sight just as much as scent to analyze their surroundings. They don't have bioluminescence. Wearing clothes sometimes happens with vledaxes, but isn’t that common. They have the capacity of speech, reading, and the ability to write. |

Vledaxes are generally a monogamous species with nearly all of them settling down with a mate. There are rare cases of casanova vleds and those who trade in favors or have a casual hook up. Males and females can mate at any time of the year for fun and socializing, but risk pregnancy at the same time. Once pregnant, a female has a gestation period of about 80 days. Up to 5 pups can be born. About 82% of vledaxes are cisgender and settle down with an opposite-sex mate. A vledax will mainly have an interest in other vledaxes.
Pack structure
A pack is composed of a few families of isolated vledax populations and may never meet another in their lifetime.
If a vledax has lived in the city, they may adopt the human ways of life.
Territory
Remote areas at the poles or tops of mountains, often using natural caves as shelter. The land may contain 7 to 10 individuals.
- Leader
Physical fights are common and preferred over psychological warfare. Leading role is thus held by the solo/pair that can strike the most fear amongst its members.
- Second-in-Command
Individuals who are given command of the tribe while the leaders are indisposed. They have the responsibility to report everything back to the leaders. - Warrior
They're responsible for the protection of the tribe from any danger and to train members in self-defense. They patrol often the land and guard the territory. - Hunter
While tribes have several members join in hunts, those ranked Hunter will be in charge of said hunt. They choose which area they should hunt on, what type of prey, and how often they should hunt. - Caretaker
Anybody currently taking care of pups such as nursing mothers or guardians. - Neo
Unranked members like pups.
